The 100-Mile Diet: A Year of Local Eating by Alisa Smith & J.B. Mackinnon

I am recommending this book to everyone. It is not a book about dieting. Its about the challenge of eating food as locally as possible and about really thinking about where your food comes from. I think this book is a nice antidote to the article in Gourmet about slavery and tomato harvesting. Here is a link to the official site of the book; http://100milediet.org/home if you would like to read a few reviews and an excerpt from the book. It helps that both authors are accomplished writers and that their writing styles compliment each other well.
